Murder on the Cornish Coast

It is 1934 and Rose, Countess of Belvedere and amateur sleuth, receives an anonymous letter summoning her to the ancient Cornish fishing village of Polgissey to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a guest staying at Crows' Nest guesthouse. Travelling in disguise, and accompanied by her baby daughter, Alice, and two of her servants, she arrives eager to begin her investigation, little realising that she will become embroiled in the area’s sinister smuggling and wrecking past. This is a classic country house murder mystery set during the golden age of crime full of intrigue, clues and red herrings and will appeal to fans of Agatha Christie and Downton Abbey.
