Beyond the Victory Garden

Will Bernice choose the love she has for God over the love she feels for Henry? In 1945, it's a tough decision to make, made tougher by the marriages of her friends. Now, with Laureen expecting a baby, Bernice's heart is deeply conflicted. Maybe, as Annie suggests, they have part-time nuns. Everything crystallizes when Gloria's seemingly eternal need for revenge takes her to the brink, driving her to consider life (only partially dressed) from the top of a 4-story building.
