As far as Bobby is aware, he is the only one of his kind—a true lone wolf. He fills his days with running his bar, and his nights with emotionless encounters. After all, hooking up with the town man-whore is as easy as crashing into his buggy in the grocery store. Everything changes when he sees an angel. The pretty new math teacher in town glows. Bobby believes she must be an angel sent to save him from his empty life, someone he can have a future with. Ramona ran away from a secret relationship gone bad in the big city, to a small town where football is king, and she has to make sure the star quarterback passes high school math. Her plans are to not get involved with any more men, especially bad boy, heartbreaker Bobby. Her plans fly out the window when he makes an oddball request. He tells her that he wants to change from playboy to decent human being, and asks her to train him how to have a platonic relationship with women. Ramona accepts Bobby’s challenge. Although he already seems to be a pretty good guy, he just has to work past his womanizing reputation. Unfortunately, tutoring Bobby becomes increasingly difficult as she develops feelings for him, and questions moving to Haven. Bobby needs Ramona to believe him when he shares his shifting secret, and asks her to wear his championship ring, that his feelings for her are real, and that he’s not out to take advantage of her affections.
