All Everly James wanted was a job. She's determined to prove she can live on her own, without parents breathing down her neck every ten seconds. But after landing her dream job in an antique bookstore downtown, Everly begins to wonder about the books they sell there, and about the mysterious owner's other...dark services. What's more, Everly begins to wonder about the intruiging door in the bookstore, the one missing its knob. And while the owner's son, Nikolay Terekhov, is more than willing to answer her questions, the questions lead her in a direction she isn't sure she wants to go. Maybe having parents around to control her every move isn't such a bad thing after all. Too bad she's taken things too far. Some doors are better left closed.
