This volume features work by One Story magazine’s 2014 Literary Debutantes: Molly Antopol, Rachel Cantor, Amelia Kahaney, Celeste Ng, David James Poissant, James Scott, and Ben Stroud, all One Story authors who have published their debut books in the past year. Haunting, vivid, touching, and funny, these tales travel across the country and around the world, weaving together first loves and lost loves, guilt and forgiveness, and the different ways we try to relive and escape the past. One Story celebrates the art form of the short story and supports the writers who write them—through publication, education, and mentorship.
